Weber River

Fished the Weber river and caught a 14 inch brown on an elk hair caddis. There were quite a few jumping and biting but that was the only keeper. The others were all about 6-9". Clarity was not very good but the fish could see the flys. they were also going for panthar marlin lures.

Silver Lake

There were quite a few fish jumping the other night at silver lake at the top of big cottonwood canyon. The weeds are too high to use spinners and so fly fishing and bait are the best methods. they were biting on salmon eggs and very small size 18 white fly's. Brook trout are plentiful and you will also get small rainbows.

Payson Lake results

We caught a few fish on spinners and on power bait. It was in the morning and in the evening that the spinners worked. We had the best luck with the red and white spoons. during the day power bait and worms aould get a few hits. Flys would have been my first choice in what to use but I left all of my fly Fishing equipment at home. There were no big fish caught and all the fish we ate tasted like they were straight from the fishery. I did see a very small rainbow that may have been from an egg. The weather was hot and sunny.
